Almost Not Gohan, according to Piccolo. Usually just go with Gohan and choose a title for all other forms. |

Batista tier Gohan is the best name. Why not Beast Gohan? I use Mystic or Ultimate, whatever I feel like at the time. |

I used to always use Ultimate Gohan, now I use Mystic Gohan. I guess you could also use the term "Full Power Gohan", but that might be misleading, however. |

Technically speaking, "Chou" Gohan is the official name for Gohan's power unlock from Old Kai which roughly translated means "Ultimate" Gohan. Mystic was something that started out as a not widely known fan-term then became widespread across all DB forums alike, Personally, I don't see any problems with the word "Mystic" because it's a common term people can easily identify in the same way people can identify ASSJ/USSJ easily despite the official names being "Grade 2" and "Grade 3". To each their own I suppose. |

Just curious... Why would you go from using a correct official term to a misleading fan-term? That's going backwards.
That's not correct. "Chou" is just Japanese for "super." It's actually the Japanese word used for the "super" in "Super Saiyan," but it's usually accompanied by furigana (characters used as a guide for special readings or pronunciation) telling readers to say "super' instead. "Ultimate" is a standard and easy translation for the real most notable and official Japanese term for this Gohan, "saikyo no senshi." The English word "Ultimate" has actually been used for him in Japanese games and stuff too, as well as more recent English ones. |

Post-Ritual or The Greatest Warrior works for me. I don't like Mystic and Ultimate. |

Now that I like. Seriously though, people get too wrapped up in the translations, there is no 100% perfect accurate translation for Japanese terms most of the time, and in a lot of cases the most literal isn't the best representation of the original meaning. I have usually seen Chou translated as Ultra in regard to videogames and anime, why not Ultra Gohan for that matter?

Well, I saw most other people doing it, so I decided to go along. I guess I'll go back to using Ultimate Gohan then. Edited by Rogafufuken, Apr 14 2014, 09:27 PM.

I generally go with Ultimate Gohan over Mystic, but both terms make me cringe

Ultimate sounds good and proper mystic makes it seems like hes some sort of shaman overlord or something |

Super Saiyan among Super Saiyans

Great input from everyone. Seems like many prefer Ultimate. I do too; it seems fitting. Seems like no one liked my idea " Potential-Realized Gohan" though Oh well, not every swing is a hit, eh. |

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

That's because FUNI screwed up the "potential" meaning, and forever plagued the fandom with the mis-interpretation. Potential is unlimited for everyone and describes what power you can achieve over your lifetime, while hidden ki or power is something that someone always has present at any given time. You could say "Unleashed Gohan" or something. That would be slightly more accurate. Unhinged Gohan or Uninhibited Gohan is another potentially accurate term. Perhaps "Unlimited" or Unconstrained Gohan would also work. Edited by Ketchup Revenge, Apr 15 2014, 01:04 AM.

There's been over 10 terms thrown around now. I don't think that's a good thing for the fanbase. |

[Saikyō no senshi] Gohan - for PL lists (...or... [Mada yakunitatanai] Gohan ... depending on the mood) [Ultimate] Gohan - for casual conversation amongst English speaking DB fans [Fantastic] Gohan - for fun... because I like it... damn you KP. |
